May 2nd 2012: Phab Workshop
Phab is an organisation of PHysically Disabled & ABle Bodied People, ‘MAKING MORE OF LIFE TOGETHER”.
We are grateful to the organisers of Phab for inviting us to run a 2 hour workshop of tango introduction for the fab Phab members at Kenilworth Social Club on 2 May 2012. We really enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm, co-ordination, and rhythm of club members – all hearing for the first time and loving D’Arienzo’s Don Juan, El Portenito, & Jueves.
They brought out all the right ingredients of tango – taking care of their partners, taking care of others on the dance floor, trust, and confidence. And moving to the beat – really impressive.
It was a tango night of great people ‘making more of life together’ reminding us that tango is for everyone. It is a unique dance…& so much more.
We are committed to supporting UK charities and are happy to work with charity, and/or healthcare, professionals to deliver free of charge Tango Journey workshops to support charity beneficiaries.
There are a number of benefits that our tango workshops can bring: social contact; the excitement of a new activity; improved body posture and control; fun movements to music etc.
If you represent a Charity and are interested in what we can offer you and your beneficiaries then please contact us.
